South India’s First Robotic Cardiac Surgery Centre to Rise at SMSIMSR Through Landmark Collaboration

In a significant advancement for India’s rural healthcare landscape, Sri Madhusudan Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (SMSIMSR) in Sathya Sai Grama, Muddenahalli, has partnered with SS Innovations International Inc., headquartered in Gurugram, to establish South India’s first Robotic Cardiac Surgery Centre.

The MoU, signed recently at SS Innovations’ facility, marks a powerful step forward in democratizing access to cutting-edge medical technology for underserved communities. The centre will be powered by the SSI Mantra system — India’s first indigenously developed robotic surgical platform, known for its precision, innovation, and cost-effectiveness.

What sets this initiative apart is SMSIMSR’s commitment to delivering 100% free-of-charge treatment, ensuring that even the most complex cardiac surgeries are accessible to all, regardless of socio-economic status.
